The night did not turn out as good as Zion had hoped for the Randy Dewitt Memorial Invitational race at Kinross Seedpark. Although Zion was among the fastest cars in the second practice session, something changed on the car causing the car to get very loose in the 3rd and final practice. Zion qualified 14th in the 20 car field and started the qualifying heat race on the inside second row. Even after making changes to tighten up the car it seemed to have no effect on the handling. Zion finished 6th, which put him in the 16th starting spot for the 75 lap feature race. The team worked very hard to fix the loose condition and made wholesale changes. Early in the feature race it was apparent that the changes did not help. At lap 30 the decision was made to leave the race as the car was so loose Zion could barely keep it on the track. This was the last race of the year and we did not want to chance wrecking the car. Zion would like to say thank you to all his fans, family and friends for their support this year. Hope to see you all next year.
